Q. Why is French Accent Magazine unique?
A. Because the really unique concept of French Accent is that the majority of the articles are in French and in English with an audio link that will enable you to listen to the French version as they read the text. This feature provides an extremely useful learning device to improve listening comprehension and pronunciation and build vocabulary.
PDF INFORMATION
Wen you subscribe to the magazine, you will receive an email with a link to download the magazine in PDF format. To be able to read it, you will need to download the free Adobe Reader program. You only need to do this once, then you can read all the PDFs on our site and anywhere else you might run across them.
All PDF files require the most current version of Adobe Reader to view them. If you currently have a version lower than 7.0 and are experiencing difficulties in opening a page, you should definitely upgrade to the newest version.
Q. Why the Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format?
A. The Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) allows us to offer an easy to read format with an excellent resolution for images with a very small file size for faster downloading. The PDF format offers you many options such as zoom in/out, copy/paste of text or images, and lots more. It also lets us provide forms that you can print out and that look exactly like the original, because Acrobat supplies the fonts that your PC may not have.
The process of downloading your free Adobe Reader is very simple and well worth the effort. Remember, you only need to do this once, then you can read all the PDFs you come across.
Q. How do I download Adobe Reader?
A. Visit the Adobe Reader download page or the Adobe Reader main page on adobe.com. You can also download Adobe Reader wherever you see the Get Adobe Reader icon. Once you have clicked on the link or icon, you will be led through easy steps that allow you to identify your language, platform, and connection type. Once you have completed this simple process, the Adobe Reader software downloads and installs automatically on your system.
Q. Ho do I read the magazine with Adobe Reader?
A. Once you have opened the magazine, you can click on the pages tab on the left. This way, you will be able to have an abstract of all the pages. You can click on them to go directly to the page you want.
To move down to other pages, you can use the right tab and also pick the hand tool and move the pages with it.
To go to another page, click on the arrows in the bottom of the page.
Use the zoom tool to make the articles easier to read.
Q. How can I open the links?
A. When reading the magazine, you will just have to click on the links you like and they will open in a new window in your internet browser. You will, of course, need to be connected to the internet to open the links. If the links do not open, make sure you have the newest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (version 7.0). If not, download it here:

Q. Can I print the magazine?
A. Of course! You can print the entire magazine or any page. If you do not want to print it with all the pictures and colours, we also provide a link for a printable version with the text only.

AUDIO INFORMATION
Q. How do I listen to the sound files?
A. By simply clicking on the Audio icons: 
on the pages of the magazine that contain them. That will open a web page with an audio flash player. You will have to click on the start button and the file will play. (Note: Some audio files can take some time to start, depending of your connection speed).
Q. Why can't I listen to the sound files?
A. If you are unable to listen to the sound files in the magazine, these suggestions may help.
1- Check your speakers or headsets - make sure that they are plugged in and turned on.
2- Certify that you have a sound card and flash player installed on your computer.
If Flash player is not installed, it should ask you online to install it; if not you can download Flash player here 
3- Make sure that your internet browser settings allow sound to be played.
If you have confirmed all of the above but you still cannot access the sound files, you will need to ask a friend who is good with computers for help.
Q. Can I download the audio files?
Yes, there is a link on the magazine to access to the audio files and to download them.
